The Color Explosion! Challenge Peoples’ Choice votes have been tallied: 1st-The “Lily” Vase by Julie Anderson, 2nd–Green Paisley Fish by Joe Pepia, and 3rd–Outback Dreaming by by Roxanne Murphy. The exhibit has been extended and will on display through December 30. So many wonderful, creative works of art including quilts and 3-D pieces.
Here are two pieces for you to enjoy: (at left) No Clue by Nancy Anders and (at right) Flirty Flowers by Jacque Chase.
Thank you to all who have participated. Many of the pieces have been donated to the Museum as a fundraising project and they will be on display until sold.
The challenge was to use recognizable amounts of the two fabrics: Kaffe’s Paisley Jungle, Tangerine (seen at left, below) and Brandon’s Bones, Green (seen at right, below). The fabrics were generously donated by Island Quilter of Vashon Island, Washington & Westminster Fabrics.
