Quilt Fest 2010

Mark your calendars for Quilt Fest 2010! The dates will be October 1, 2, & 3.

Quilt Fest 2010, featuring quilts from The Appliqué Society, will take place in two venues in La Conner, WA:   Maple Hall and the La Conner Quilt & Textile Museum. Quilt Fest 2010 is a celebration that includes a three day show of appliqué quilts, specialty vendors, and a silent auction in Maple Hall (October 1 – 3), four days of fabulous workshops and quilt events (Sept. 30 – Oct. 3), a six week quilt walk (Sept. 1 – Oct. 15) in La Conner shops, plus three floors of new exhibits in the La Conner Quilt & Textile Museum.

Workshops:

Quilt Fest 2010 has four days of fabulous workshops, starting September 30. Meet our Workshop Instructors:  Elly Sienkiewicz, Nancy Lee Chong, Barbara Shapel, Heidi Lund, Meg Hawkey, Maureen Goldsmith, Teri Bever, Marcia Harmening.

Events during Quilt Fest 2010

Quilt Walk in La Conner Shops ~ September 1 – October 15, 2010. Watch this page as time nears for complete map of participating venues and information.

An Evening with Nancy Lee Chong. Join in the fun on Thursday, September 30; 6 – 8:30pm at the Museum of Northwest Art in downtown La Conner for a lecture on the History of Hawaiian Quilting by Nancy Lee Chong. After, meet Nancy and fellow enthusiasts for hors d’oevres and beverages. Hawaiian attire is optional, but encouraged. Cost: $25 per person. Call 360-466-4288 for reservations.

Quilt Fest Gala Dinner. Join us on Friday, October 1, 2010 at the La Conner Seafood & Prime Rib House for our annual Quilt Fest Dinner. Treat your spouse, partner, or sewing friends to a delightful evening at the La Conner Seafood & Prime Rib House. Make your reservations early before this popular event is fully booked. Cost:  $30 per person. Call 360-466-4288 for reservations.

La Conner Quilt & Textile Museum. Two new exhibits open the during Quilt Fest:  “Double Take” with quilt artists Helen Remick & Janet Kurjan and “Tapestries” with Linda Rees & Carolyn Price Dyer.
