.Quilt Walk in La Conner Shops

September 1 – October 15, 2013

Stroll through the unique shops in La Conner to view the beautiful quilts from the EverGreen Quilters from Bellingham, Washington. A wide range of styles is waiting to be seen:  traditional, pieced, appliqué, contemporary, innovative, art, embellished and stained glass technique.

Beginning September 1, maps will be available at participating shops, the La Conner Quilt & Textile Museum, or you will be able to download a map here. Hours vary by shop. Sponsored by the La Conner Quilt & Textile Museum and the extraordinary merchants of La Conner, Washington as part of our 2013 Quilt & Fiber Arts Festival. We  thank the shop owners for donated funds and/or merchandise to our 2013 Quilt & Fiber Arts Festival; their support of the Museum is essential to our success.

About EverGreen Quilters:  In the late 1970’s, a group of women entered a whole new world of quilting. The small group that gathered at the Quilt Basket to work on individual projects, share ideas, and learn new techniques became EverGreen Quilters. In 1981 the group was chartered as chapter No. 315 of the National Quilting Association. EverGreen Quilters is committed to giving:  encouragement to beginners, challenge to seasoned quilters, and inspiration to all who seek self-expression through quilting. The group is a non-profit organization and there is a strong emphasis on community service; with members making baby quilts for St. Joseph’s Hospital for the preemies and also quilts for kidney dialysis patients. EverGreen Quilters meet every Tuesday. You may attend as many meetings a month as you like; many people have a “favorite” meeting they attend regularly.
