Fan blades are hand and machine pieced; the points are appliquéd. Each block has a green quarter circle, red/rose print blades alternating with various prints, and yellow or gold “background.” The outer border is made up of green triangles and gold quarter rounds. Gold bias binding finishes the edges. Backing is muslin.
Hand quilting: straight down the center of each fan blade, ¼” outline stitching in each quarter round, a heart quilted in each quarter round, double outline in triangles, and a 1” grid across background.
