Going in Circles Workshop with Carol Taylor

April 18 & 19, 2012; 9:30-4; includes lunch

Have you always admired those pieced circles? You can do it with ease and without even pinning. Create a small (32 x 32) unique quilt of your very own while learning to piece circles & some unusual strip sets, and do Carol’s trademark circular quilting to complete the look.

We will start with piecing simple circles that you cut improvisationally and move on to more complex circles. Then Carol will show how to make and use some unusual strip sets to complete the quilt. All done with a minimal amount of measuring to free you up and allow you to think out of the box. You’ll also learn how to finish your quilts with facings instead of bindings.

You’ll be thrilled with the resulting small quilt, which you can do in many different color schemes and hang in your own home or give as a gift. Check Carol’s website to see the many quilts Carol has made using these same techniques, and then come make your very own.

Two-Day Workshop, $250; includes lunches
