Nancy’s Needlers is an applique group which began with former workshop students of Nancy Lee Chong. When Nancy (who is an applique teacher) decided to move away from the Seattle area two years ago, local workshop members still wanted to keep meeting and the local group formed. Nancy’s Needlers meets on a monthly basis at a local quilt shop in Anacortes, WA. Fifteen members of the group and thirty-eight of their creations are represented here at the Museum.
As a special treat, Nancy has also included a quilt for exhibit with her students. Teacher, designer, & author, Chong has been teaching stress-free needleturn applique and Hawaiian quilting since 1982.
